How We Delivered a Gas Analysis System to Aktobe

Case Study: How We Delivered a Gas Analysis System to Aktobe Amid Flight Cancellations and Tight Deadlines

In April 2025, a mining site in Kazakhstan’s Aktobe region faced a critical challenge: they urgently needed a new gas analysis system delivered. For Alpha-Safety, this became an emergency task with no room for error — and ICS was called in to make it happen.
The mission wasn’t straightforward:
  • There was no direct flight to Aktobe.
  • The cargo had to transit through Almaty.
  • Upon arrival, the shipment had to be split: one part remained in Almaty, while the other was combined with additional equipment and forwarded to Aktobe.
  • Deadlines were unforgiving — every day of downtime meant financial losses.
The client’s request was clear:
“We don’t have time to spare — the cargo must be in Aktobe the day after tomorrow.”

April 6: Arrival in Almaty

The shipment arrived in Almaty at 19:00 on April 6. The plan was timed down to the minute: ICS staff were already on site to meet the cargo, divide it, prepare one part for local delivery, and reconfigure the other part for shipment to Aktobe.
The next leg was scheduled: departure to Aktobe at 12:00 on April 7.

Unexpected setback: flight canceled

Then came the blow. The Aktobe flight was canceled. Suddenly, the entire project was at risk again — hours away from potential delays that could halt the client’s operations.
ICS Manager:
“This was one of those cases where logistics stops being ‘delivery’ and becomes ‘resuscitation.’ Every step was decided in real time — who meets the cargo, who signs, who reloads. There was no room for error.”

Coordination 24/7: Alpha-Safety on the line

The situation was so critical that Alpha-Safety’s top management personally monitored the process. The company’s director stayed in constant contact with ICS — day and night, from the airport to the road — working together with our leadership to coordinate every move.
Alpha-Safety CEO:
“This wasn’t just an urgent delivery — it was a battle against the clock. We were in constant contact: day, night, at the airport, on the road. Without ICS, we wouldn’t have made it.”

April 8: Delivery in Aktobe

Despite the canceled flight, the cargo reached Aktobe on April 8. The client’s facility received the system in time — installed and operational under the tightest possible deadline.

Why it matters

  • In emergencies, logistics becomes part of crisis management.
  • Splitting cargo, reconfiguring shipments, dealing with flight cancellations — all require instant decision-making and flawless teamwork.
  • ICS proved to be the partner you can rely on when operations go far beyond “business as usual.”
